Suzuki to Discontinue Mehran Officially
Rumors were their that Suzuki will officially discontinue their Mehran VX. Prior this Thursday, in soft message organization declare that they will stop the production of their low end vehicle Mehran from next year onward.
The decision made by the company to promote the launch of their new brand with latest features to compete the Chinese brands.
MANAGEMENT OF PSMCL HAS DECIDED TO DISCONTINUE MODEL SB-308 (MEHRAN) FROM APRIL 2019,
“CONSEQUENTLY, 23,821 UNITS WILL BE PRODUCED FROM SEPTEMBER 2018 TO MARCH 2019.”-PAK SUZUKI
Currently, company has intended to deliver 4,574 units of Merhan SB-308 VX and 19,247 units of SB-308 VXR, which was produced in 2017/2018 by the company and decision to stop manufacturing Mehran was taking in December 2017.
Mehran standout among the most loved vehicles in Pakistan, because of it’s its economic convenience. But now manufacturer has announce to stop it;s production and send official notice to the dealers perusing;
“Dear valued vendor(s), Management of PSMCL has decided to discontinue its Model SB308 only version VX(Mehran) from end November 2018. In view of above, it is important to note that all the respective local parts should be produced and supply according to schedules to be sent to you on monthly basis for remaining production plan of 6734 units to be produced from June 2018 to End November 2018.”
Company has sold 30% more vehicles as compare to the last year. It was then speculated that company won’t stop the production of the Merhan and won’t discontinue the car but it has now officially been announced by the company. On this news, Analysist have shared that this decision was very shocking for the customers who were planning to buy this affordable car and this month Suzuki and their new brand will have to face their biggest competitor is United Auto’s Bravo Hatchback which is expected to launch soon which will kill the monopoly of Mehran soon.
