The Central Ruet e Hilal Committee will meet the chair person Mufti Mujeeb Ur Rehman today in Karachi for moon sighting for the Holy month of Ramadan.

The meetings of zonal and district Ruet- e- Hilal committees will also held today at their particular headquarters for collecting evidences regarding sight of moon for the Holy month of Ramadan.

In Karachi the sun will set at 7:10 PM and the moon will be observed after 61 minutes.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has called on citizens to sight the moon with their naked eyes or use binoculars and then express their observations to the committee.

Earlier, Ruet-e -Hilal Research Council (RHRC) predicted that the Holy month of Ramadan expected to start on Thursday in Pakistan.

The Secretary General (RHRC) told that, “The age of new moon on Wednesday will be more than 26 hours in all cities of Pakistan”.

The Holy month of Ramadan will start on Thursday in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Jordan and Middle East countries.

According to the media reports, these announcements came after religious authorities failed to sight the crescent moon on Tuesday night.
