Nation Remembers Pakistani Icon Junaid Jamshed on His 54th Birthday
Junaid Jamshed lives in heart! : Rocketing to international fame with his band’s hit ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ in 1989, national icon, preacher and television personality Junaid Jamshed left his mark on the hearts of many and is remembered today on 54th birthday nationwide by Pakistanis.
Born in Karachi on 3rd Seotember 1964, Junaid Jamshed’s career took many drastic turns over the years. Before turning to music, he had served as a civilian engineer and contractor for the Pakistan Air Force.
He then turned to music with his band ‘Vital Signs’ in 1986. Together they created songs like ‘Aitebaar’, ‘Hum Tum’, and ‘Dil Ki Baat’; all loved to this day with thousands of renditions by fans and fellow musicians to date.
After 15 years of iconic, chart-topping hits, Junaid Jamshed bid farewell to the music industry and turned his focus instead to serving humanity through religious and spiritual guidance. He became a respected preacher and famous television personality loved by all and also launched his own clothing line called “J.” in parallel to all this proving himself to be a man of many talents.
On 7th December 2016 however all this came to a tragic end as Junaid Jamshed died alongside 46 others when his plane (pk-661) crashed in Havelian while he was en-route to Islamabad from Chitral.
