However, as per the latest news it has been came to light that he has left the team and parted ways to to get associated with the Peshawar Zalmi team. Earlier Misbah was looking forward to be a part of Islamabad United team in a very different role but now he seems to change his mind. He also informed the team about the changed decision but since the entire setup had taken place the team managers refused to change their team setup. He was offered to stay in the team as a mentor and he changed his mind later by being an active player in the current PSL.
Misbah Ul Haq takes a u-turn on his retirement as a player in #PSL . This is the thing I dont like about our ex cricketers they refuse to call it a day. He got the perfect role as a mentor but refused it. This doesn’t look good tbh. #Cricket

Upon this refusal Misbah decided to part his ways from Islamabad United and instead he is expected to shake hands with Peshawar Zalmi and take an active part in the coming PSL 4.
Technically, Peshawar Zalmi have zero pure batsmen among their retained players.
They have wicket keeper, bowlers & all rounders.
Still, going for Misbah ul Haq who will be almost 45 years old makes zero sense.

Misbah played for Islamabad United very dedicatedly in the past three years and has made tremendous records which are commendable. however, it is to see that further what happens with a collaboration of Misbah Ul Haq with Peshawar Zalmi.
