The MediaTek Helio P70 is the company’s new midrange smartphone offer. The heir of the popular Helio P60 offers faster speeds and lower power consumption. Another advantage is advanced algorithms with artificial intelligence. MediaTek Helio P70 is based on 12-nanometer FinFET technology and uses the Multi-Core APU engine at 525MHz for precise processing of AI calculations.
The new processor has four ARM Cortex-A73 cores with a working frequency of 2.1GHz and the same number of ARM Cortex-A53 cores operating at 2GHz. The innovative eight-seater big.LITTLE configuration is complemented by a powerful ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics chip with a frequency of 900MHz. By MediaTek argue that Helio P70 will guarantee 13% higher performance compared to Helio P60 and has a 4G LTE modem with a maximum speed of 300Mbps, reports DigiTimes.
Additional optimizations make the Helio P70 a suitable solution for the lovers of photography and games. Future smartphones with this processor will be able to have dual cameras with 24MP / 16MP resolution or a main 32-megapixel lens. The new chip will reduce the power consumption of image processing and imaging by 18% compared to its predecessor. MediaTek has begun mass production and awaits the premiere of the first models with the Helio P70 in November.
