Biggest power breakdown in Punjab and KP

Early morning on Wednesday, Technical bugs at Tarbela power plant led to worst power breakdown in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab also, leavings consumers in dark.

The fault in Tarbela power plant also caused tripping of all four Chashma Power Plants. A power cut is being witnessed in Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur and many other cities of Punjab, and also in Lakki Marwat, Swat, and Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The power breakdown caused many problems, a blackout in the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly hindering the routine proceedings, further they are using generators for the parliamentary business as this is so important.

According to the reports, medical surgeries of some patients in different hospitals in Lahore and other cities of Pakistan is suffered and stopped due to power breakdown, everyone is suffered from heatwaves and this power breakdown is causing lot of delays in work.

Technical team and the Secretary Power Division have reached there to see the main fault and trying to fix at the first.
According to officials supply of electricity will be restored in few hours.

A spokesperson of the Atomic Energy Commission informed that industrial load shedding will be start in Punjab from today to ten hours, so energy can easily and constantly be provided to people during the Holy month Ramadan.

Pakistan needs 20,000 megawatts to fulfill their energy demands.
